The Topeka event originally set to be hosted by Shawnee Heights Baptist Church has now moved ONLINE! It is available now through May 31st. The event is FREE; continuing education units (CEU's) must be purchased.
Show Hope’s Empowered to Connect Conference offers practical teaching in a safe and supportive community as we work to equip families, caregivers, churches, and professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care.
The past two conferences have included presentations on Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, which exists to bring attachment and connection in families. The 2020 conference will be a "rewind" or re-airing of the 2019 simulcast.
Foster parents may receive up to 11 hours of training credits. Certificates of training will be available free of charge to foster parents. Use the REGISTER button above. Continuing education units (CEUs) will also be available for professionals. However, CEUs must be purchased. Click on the CEU's registration button above to register and purchase credits.
